What the app is

Trades Job Check is an estimating tool that helps you think through a job's costs, price and cash timing, and create proposals and invoices. It is not financial, tax, accounting or legal advice.

Your numbers are your responsibility

Results depend on what you enter. Default figures, such as WCB rates, payroll costs, GST and holdback periods, are starting points and may not match your situation or current rules. Check your own rates, tax obligations, contracts and lien rules, and ask your accountant or lawyer when unsure. You are responsible for the prices you quote and the documents you send.

Free and Pro

The job check is free. Pro adds proposals, invoices and branding. New users get a free Pro trial with no card required. Pro is billed monthly or yearly through Stripe in Canadian dollars, plus any applicable taxes.

Cancelling

You can cancel anytime. Cancelling stops future charges, and Pro stays available until the end of the period you already paid for. Payments already made are not refunded unless required by law.

Your data

Your information is stored on your own device. We are not responsible for data lost when browser storage is cleared or a device is lost or replaced.

No warranty

The app is provided "as is". We work to keep it accurate and available but can't promise it will be error-free or always online. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for business losses, lost profits or other indirect damages from using the app.

Changes

We may update the app, prices or these terms. Price changes apply at your next billing period, and we'll give notice before they do.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
